Background

Mr. Mohammad Salahuddin joined the Bangladesh Civil Service on 25th of April 1994 (BCS 13th Batch). He worked in wide range of government positions in his long illustrious career both in field administration and in Ministry. He obtained his master's degree in Philosophy from University of Dhaka. He held various key positions in Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Industries, Power Division and so on. He received international training on Transforming Criminal Justice in UK. He had undergone training for Good Governance in India.

Date of appointment to BATB Board

Mr. Mohammad Salahuddin was appointed as a Non- Executive Director to the Board of Directors of BAT Bangladesh on 25th January 2023.

Achievements

Mr. Salahuddin has been serving as Secretary, Prime Minister's Office since 8th December 2022. In 1994 he joined at divisional Commissioner’s office Khulna and started his career as Assistant Commissioner. Prior to the current position, Mr. Mohammad Salahuddin was:

•  Private Secretary to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
•  Director General of Prime Minister’s Office.
•  Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Dhaka and Panchagarh District.
•  Upazilla Nirbahi Officer in Natore and Gaibandha.
•  Assistant Commissioner (Land) at Gazipur and Tangail.
